Keeving and initial fermentation takes place in large vats but on Burns Night the young cider is transferred to Scotch whisky barrels to finish and mature.
Medium sweet with smokey vanilla tannin and an oaky finish, Tamoshanta is great served chilled with Somerset Cheddar.

(Bottle, 4.7%) Pale amber colour, hazy, with foamy off-white head. Fruity nose with red apples, oak wood, marzipan, orange, butterscotch and vanilla. Fruity taste with notes of red apples, oak wood, orange marmalade, marzipan, butterscotch and a generous acidity in the finish. Some tannins. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Complex, tasty and well made. Very nice.

Bottle pour at The Cider House - Borough Market, pours a clear bronze with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice funky farmhouse character, crisp apple skins, and light mustiness. Flavour is medium sweet, with musty stewed apple, light farmhouse notes, and gentle toffee apple. Crisp but modestly sweet finish. Not as funky as it could be but it's well-made.

33cl bottle - Pours a clear rich golden colour with a small fizzy head that quickly settled. The aroma is apples; pulp and skins; with some woody notes. A moderately sweet and moderately dry appley taste, sweet apple, light funk and woody flavours with drying finish.

330ml bottle from Gloucester Services Farmshop. Pours clear orange gold with no real head. Sweet apple & woody aroma. Taste: bittersweet apple, juicy apple, light rich, dry, oaky, low to moderate tannins. Medium bodied with low/no carbonation. A tasty drop

Devine ba. Wouldn't be able to place the whisky but it isn't a peaty one but light like Oban. Some glorious caramelisation. Oak. Wood. Pears. Dry tartness. Moderately puckering. Champagne perry. Stunning.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Somewhat winey apple smell mixed with comforting bubble bath. nice fizz. You do really get the whisky in the immediate aftermath of a sip, mixed with sticky apple. Yummy.
