A solid, laced white head on a pale straw body. the nose combines Kolsch yeast, citrus and a slight spiciness. Definitely a new world Kolsch - on top of traditional yeast and mild hop notes, citrus, berries, banana and a pleasant bubblegum (double bubble I believe!!) add to a smooth sweet malt base. Medium bodies with very healthy carbonation, adding to refreshing nature of a solid beer.

Hazy orange pour, medium white head. Very grassy, some dry hay, and some bready cereals. Very round mouth feel, and soft carb. More cereals in the end, low bitterness. Kinda boring. By the way, isn’t a kolsch a lagered ale? Meaning using ale yeast and fermenting a cold temperatures? So if you use ale yeast and ferment at warm temperatures, isn’t this just a regular golden lager?

Can from the Cowbell Sampler mix pack.Clear medium gold with a small tight white head that leaves spotty lace. Nose is biscuity malts with grass and light citrus along with a hint of pepper. Flavour is light caramel sweetness with a light+ grassy bitterness. Mouth is medium- with slightly soft carbonation and a crisp finish. 7-/3/6/3/12+

Notes of grains, fresh bread with a light DMS. Subtle herbaceous hops. Golden color, clear, with volcanic effervescence, the liquid is covered with a thick, well-formed and persistent foam. On the palate, it is rather malty with a very discreet fruitiness. Notes of lemon, wild berries but in absolute discretion. The main emphasis is on malty notes of grain. Bitterness is soft and herbaceous. The body is quite ample, the carbonation medium and the finish well attenuated. Rather malted and cereal oriented this Kolsch, with a fruity and a rather discreet bitterness. This beer is just meh. Decent density on the malt, which is hay and mild sweetness. Feels hoppless. Fine lager but that's it.

0,473 l can bought at a LCBO in Mississauga. Unclear mid golden in the glass, small head. Low floral fruity on the nose. Taste starts with a mid floral bitterness. Increasing bitterhop and straw, less fruity in the second part, orange. Some malt in the background. Fresh hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Interesting interpretation of a Kölsch. Could have been a Pale Ale.

Can: Poured a clear golden color Kolsch with a medium size white foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of light cereal notes with residual sugar notes and light buttery notes is OK. Taste is a mix of light buttery notes with some cereal notes and light residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Though style to master and this take isn’t bad but it is not great either.

This kolsch poured a medium amber colour with a off white, creamy head. Scents include citrus hops, malts and butter? First swig was smooth and creamy with medium hop flavour and tastes of citrus, light spice and malt. Finish was minimally bitter with malty goodness lingering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
