61 Deep. Newest brew on the Burton block. 61 metres. That’s the depth of the well at the Brewery that gives this refreshing pale ale its name. The five American and Australian hops give it its fresh, zesty aroma, whilst the tropical fruit and citrus notes make it extremely drinkable. Dive in. - ABV 3.8% on keg and cask, 4.1% in bottles and cans.

Cask @ The Shoulder Of Mutton, Slaithwaite. Pours clear golden with a small creamy head. Bright berries and gazoline reminding me of a new zealand hop. Crackers beneath. A bit of a candied feel.

[Cask at the Horse & Groom, Hare Hatch.] A pale amber pour with a ring of white head; sour grainy aroma; taste to hatch with a touch of lemon and cream soda; then a dry biscuity finish with a gentle bitterness. Not unpleasant.

Cask, half-pint, shared with Finn after breakfast at Tollemache Inn (JDW). Clear golden body, filmy layer that laced well. Restrained aromas of dusty hops with a citric touch. Hop fruity taste of citrus and peaches. Mid-dry bitter end. Slightly diluted on the swallow. Straightforward. (Grantham 13.11.2021).

Had at the England v New Zealand test match at Edgbaston thanks to Sarky: Poured a golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is light hops, grain, malts. Taste was bitter forward of hops, grain and malt backbone, very refreshing. FEED THE SNAKE, FEED THE SNAKE!

Pale gold with a frothy white head and a mellow tropical fruit and floral aroma. Refreshing, light bodied mouthfeel, with floral hops and touches of fruit livening up the biscuit malt backbone

Cask at Brighton Racecourse. Pours a hazy orange colour with a thinnish white head. Taste is pretty good with a touch of citrus. Nice for low abv.

Keg as there f all else for me to drink. It pours clear golden - amber with a small frothy white cap. The aroma is soft, sweet, fragrant, floral, citrus peel, limey tang, kiwi and biscuit. The taste is crisp, touch of bitterness, quite floral actually, grain, cereal, peppery spice, pithy citrus action, biscuit malt, touch metallic and some grass with a slightly grainy finish. Light to medium body and fine carbonation. I expected a lot worse and have had a lot worse. Fair.

31/8/2019. Keg at the Angel, Sudbury. Pours dark gold with a creamy firm white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, grass, sweet malt and caramel. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight creamy texture, average carbonation. Much better than the bottled version had earlier.
