Can from Beers Of Europe. Appearance - golden amber with a very light haze. Nicely proportioned, slightly off white head. Nose - orange with just a hint of biscuit. Taste - brown bread. Orange again. Palate - light astringency on the finish, after what seems to be a light bodied and fairly balanced beer. Overall - decent.

Cask (White Hart, Overton) - Light amber in colour. Peach, melon and some tropical notes in the aroma. Hoppy and faintly biscuity taste with a moderate bitterness and notes of peach, lychees, passion fruit and grapefruit. An enjoyable drop.

Half-pint shared with Finn, cask ale at the Bright Helm. A pearl white head leaving spotty lacing behind. Cloudy amber-gold body. Distant smell of ripe citrus an grain. Moderate taste profile of grainy malts joined by a citric twist. Bone dry ending, slightly bitter. Approved. (Brighton 17.10.2019).

As Defaulters Pale Ale. Few months old this. Bright clear deep gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light pale malts, clean and with a veey mild sweetness. Mellow hops. Little marmalade and orange peel. Modest bitterness. Light crisp finish. Standard stuff but clean and drinkable. Would have been better when I bought it in July and the score is adjusted for that.
