Cask at Number Twenty-2, Darlington. Dark brown amber colour, foam beige head leaving lots of lacing and aroma of malt, yeast, roasted notes. Taste is very malty caramel, with roasted, chocolate, biscuit, raisins, coffee and a light earthy bitterness. Smooth warming mouth feel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry nutty aftertaste. Quite drinkable.

Cask at the Number Twenty-2, Darlington. Very dark brown colour, creamy beige head. Both aroma and flavour are excellent blends of malts and dark ripe fruits, also hints of caramel and nuts, nice bitter finish.

@ Stockbridge Tap, Edinburgh. Dark amber. Heavily toasty aroma. Toasty with a slightly chocolatey accent, and a hint of butter.

cask at Bow Bar - Pours dark amber-red with a lasting off-white head and an aroma full of caramel malt. The flavor is really sweet, a little too sweet in my opinion, with caramel and a little hops. It’s light to medium bodied.

From cask at Charlies. Pours dark brown with an orange glare. Lacing off-white head. Hard roasted malt and coffee aroma. Flavour is hardroasted and coffee-ish with a distinct liqourice note. Nice liqourice and hard roasted acidic finish.

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A deep red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet and very malty with notes of both caramel and toffee. The flavor is sweet maltyh with notes of caramel and fruit, leding to a bitter finish. More bitter hops than aroma hops. The body is thin.

Cask handpull at The Roscoe Head, Liverpool. Very deep chestnut colour with lasting beige head. Roasty toasty ESB with rather lovely fruit. Wow, now that is a really good ESB. One of the best ESB aromas I’ve smelt. The toasty malt and deep jammy fruit are stunning. Full in mouth. If it had a peppery hop finish, I wouldn’t leave the pub. Drying hop on finish. Lovely malts throughout.
