Taster at Mascot, Toronto. Cloudy, dark red to brown colored. AROMA- roasted malts, coffee, caramel chocolate bonbons, earthy. FLAVOR- moderately sweet, lightly bitter, coffee, caramel, quite earthy. Medium bodied. A bit empty.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, light coffee, light chocolate powder, pleasant. In mouth, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, molasses, plums, pleasant. On tap at brewery.

On tap at Mascot, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is full of woody, roasted malt, piney hop bitterness, and some bitter dry cocoa. Flavour is more forceful, with medium roast, bitter dry cocoa, and a touch of hoppy bitterness. Roasty and sturdy palate. Good stuff.
