18/7/2019. Bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of buttery toffee, toasted malt, plummy fruits, bread and syrup. Moderate sweetness with medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, average carbonation.

Aroma of malt, caramel, hop, biscuit, fruit and a little butter. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, very soft carbonation. Decent brewery this.

ABV: 3.8%. Clear medium amber colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toated, caramel, nutty, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, toasted, dusty, nutty, sweet malt, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180723]

On cask at the Twice Brewed Inn. Appearance - deep amber to brown. Nose - burnt bread and toffee. Taste - more burnt bread and toffee. Raisins. Palate - close to medium bodied with a crunchy texture. Dry crunchy finish. Overall - solid for the style.
