Stella Spark uses large amounts of some of the best hops in the world from the American west coast and combines them late in the process with light malts to create a very refreshing golden citrus beer.
Stella Power Station (south) was built on the former Estate of Stella Hall the birthplace of Joseph Cowen Jnr which was also on the route of the famous Blaydon Races. It was modern and efficient in its time using the very best of world leading technology and construction from local companies C.A. Parsons, A Reyrolle & Co. and Clark Chapmans.
Such heritage and the amalgamation of world beating technology to ensure a supply of light and power to the region was inspirational in our brewing of STELLA SPARK , a bright and zest filled beer.

440ml can from Firebrick Tap, Grainger Market, Newcastle. Gluten Free. Deep golden colour, foamy white head and aroma of malt, grain, bread, grass. Taste is sweetish, malty, grainy, toffee, and bready, straw, hay, grass, with tangy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying bitter finish. Nicely drinkable

Rocky white head left a creamy cover on a well carbonated clear amber coloured body. Malt, citra & bitter aroma - well balanced. Medium bodied, smooth with a sharp back. Citrus, pine, earthy, malt & hoppy tastes with a bitter finish. Decent quaffer.

500ml bottle bought at Grape and Bean (former BIN 21) in Hexham, shared with Finn on a Northern train from York to Preston. Bubbly pearl white head, bright amber-gold coloured body, spotty lacing. Citrus and grassy hops on the nose. Flavoured with succulent citrus, orange and grapefruits. Mid-dry bitter ending. Clean in the mouth. Nice. (08.02.2019).

Cask-conditioned, at the Seven Stars, Bristol 7/4/2018. Golden in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Some citrus hops, lemon and tangerine fruits, and rich tea malts, leading to a dryish finish. Good.
