One Volt can power an LED screen, this one Volt carries quite a bit of power through a fuller body, subduing the fruitiness of its hops. There's quite a lot of malt and bitterness coming through too, making it quite traditional tasting. It's decent. Darker clear golden with a glow.

Bottle from Waitrose, Frimley. Opaque light amber. Frothy foamy white head. Aroma has citrus. Spice. Both are low-key. Also malts. Jammy. Flavourwise this beer definitely exhibits its trad brewery roots. There is citrus and resin but they're clumsy: weak but witb harsh edges. Although, yeah, there is a jammy streak. Underlying malts. And, the required by CAMRA, hint of veg soup. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat-soft carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Decent despite the twiggy family tree.

500ml bottle. Pours a near clear gold with thin white head. A citric, earthy and light perfumed soap aroma. Quite a punchy bitter session pale with malt, toffee, wood, orange, grapefruit, resin, soap. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi-drying with light sticky mouthfeel. It's ok.

Canned. Orangeish amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is bready, some floral and mild earthy notes. Flavour is fruity, bready, earthy and mild toffeish tones. Nice bitterness in the finish. More like an English IPA than anything else...

500ml bottle from Asda. Amber in colour and clear, with a tight, off-white, head and plenty of carbonation. Light, malty aroma, with some marmalade notes and a hint of floral hop.The flavour also had a malty edge, with a suggestion of prickly pine, more orange sweetness before a moderately bitter finish. Good.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour, white foam head and aroma of malt, citrus, fruity hop. Taste is malty, with alittle caramel & toffee, fruit, orangey citrus, and woody bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry citric bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
