Bottle (5/11/19) pour from Julio's Liquors. Appearance is opaque inky black with nice viscosity, no sparkle, thin ephemeral ring of head with no lacing. Aroma is strong coconut, mild late coffee. Taste is moderately strong coconut, mild alcohol, chocolate, roasted malt, stronger coffee than in aroma but still pretty mild. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, mild alcohol warmth, soft carbonation and finish as taste with mild bitterness. Overall, wish the coffee was stronger but probably more to do with how long it was held--should be drunk within the first year (DON'T HOLD MORE THAN A YEAR) but still enjoyable.

11.2 oz bottle, Shared by tfontana, thanks man! Aroma is moderate coconut, chocolate, coffee. The booze is only lightly noticed after the sip. Mild warming. Coconut, coffee, chocolate, and a slight earth note. As always with coffee should open before the first year mark. Still real good!

bottle from aveur biere Pours pitch dark with a dark brown head. Aroma is dominated by cocoa and cocoa oil, so intense cocoa that i can hardly detect any malts. but the aroma is nice enough. flavor is roasted malts , cocoa , quite a lot of cocoa, chocolate, coffee, lingering coca finish. there's a bit bounty candy bar in this flavor. if you like cocoa this one will certanly hit home big time. Base beer seems to be quite dry, balancing the cocoa craziness.

.33l bottle from Halftime. Black, inky pour, slick, flat. Sweet, roasty , aroma chocolate. Hint of coconut in the aroma blossoms in the taste, matching up with dark chocolate. Coffee makes it's appearance as well, amping up the dark roast bitterness. Smooth, bittersweet with barely a glimpse of the ABV.

Finally getting round to rating this! One of those beers I keep having but never rate. Pours ink black with little head. Aroma is dark malts, caramel, cocoa, coffee, licorice. Big body, smooth. Flavour is malty and medium sweet, with a nice bitterness to balance out the sweetness. Quite a complex impy, with lots of depth. Cocoa, medium roast coffee, berries, figs and plum. Some hints of chocolate and licorice. Delicious beer. Pöhjala has made a good choice in keeping this in their line up, it's just such a perfect imperial stout with a great complex flavour profile.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and coconut. Pours almost black color with medium sized but quickly diminishing light brown head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet chocolate and licorice, follows by coffee, roasted malt and coconut, mouthfeel is warm alcoholic, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. Headbanger’s coconuts...

(Thanks, Jim! Ozzy70) Bottle. A- Coconut, cocoa, sweet. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head. T- Coconut, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, sweet. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Really good as I would expect. Almost like a coconut tootsie roll. The coffee had more of a bright chocolate flavor than coffee. Perhaps best suggested as a mocha. It was a bit cloying but still tasty.
