Immensely smooth, yet complex and substantial. Made with our Baltic brewing friend Wojtek, a master of the style from Brewery Widawa in Poland. Pirating this awesome recipe from Baltic history, we created this crazy collaboration by getting all the traditional malts, Lager yeast, and even hops fresh from his source in Poland! Then for distinct hop character, we increased the kettle hops by 3x. Plus, to make it world-class, we added a touch of dried plum which is often part of the flavor profile of the best Baltic Porters.

Butelka 355ml. Czarne z brazowa, niewielka piana. Aromat słodki, czekoladowy z wyraźną nutą beczki i delikatnym, szlachetnym alkoholem. Czekolada, wanilia w smaku z wyraźnie rozgrzewającym alkoholem, pełne ale dość lekkie w odbiorze, świetnie się pije.

Bottle, 12oz, shared by Meilby. A dark brown beer, unclear, is topped by a small dense dark beige head. The aroma has a good dash of umami, with caramel, toffee, roasted malts, coffee notes and some dark chocolate. It's full-bodied, warming, smooth and soft on the palate, with lots of dark flavors. Roasted malts, toffee, some coffee and chocolate, lots of caramel and umami and a meaty touch. Lasting finish with a pleasant warmth. Quite delicious this one, a bit sweet and warming perhaps. 181231

Bottle from Bruisin' Ales. Pours very dark brn/blk with a tan smear. Aroma of mildly smoky plums with a lot of smooth dark malt. Med plus body. Flavor is smoky with dark plummy fruit and very dark smooth malt. Smoke is dominant for me, but the dark fruit is very nice. Why they couldn't say prunes instead of dried plum? Ah well. It is somewhat undry, smoky/bitter in a moderate way, smoky in more than a moderate way, and delicious. Great ale.
