Rich and smooth Baltic Porter brewed with coconut, vanilla, and cardamom.
Taste: The taste of a smooth and creamy vanilla milkshake combines with the chocolate malt character before the palate is flooded with oily coconut and sweet oats. Finally cardamon comes through, balanced by a delicate spiciness from the hops - the body transporting you to winter nights surrounded by family.

Black color, tan head with short retention. Aroma has notes of roasted malts, coconut and red ripe fruit. Flavor is slightly bittery, some sweetess, coconut and vanilla are lightly present. Slightly sweet in the final with creamy mouthfeel.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Pitch black colour, brown head. Aroma of vanilla, coconut, hint of cardamom, quite sweet, some chocolate, a bit of roast. Flavour of coconut, soft vanilla, more like in custard, cardamom clearly present but still very subtle, deep roasted flavours, coffee, dark chocolate, hint of chili in the back, slight burn, not sure where that's from, soft spicy aftertaste, firm roasty bitterness. Medium to full bodied, slick. Great stuff.

Bottle. A- Cardamom, black tea, vanilla, coconut. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Cardamom, cocoa, vanilla, coconut, tea. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- A month past the best by date but that doesn't seem to have hurt. Lots of aroma and taste of cardamom I assume? Reminds me a lot of the mango black tea I drink, really delightful with many unique flavors. Really good.

From backlog. 330ml bottle from Alko. Sweet, sticky and spicy porter with too much coconut dominating everything. Unbalanced and a bit messy.

Poured from a 330 ml bottle. Aroma is dark chocolate forward with some medium light roast notes. Light coconut and vanilla notes. Lighter cardamom notes and hints of alcohol. Hints of dark fruit notes. Pours black with a medium large to large, thick, frothy, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to a thin, think film that lingers as a thin film. No lacing and medium length legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with lots of chocolate notes, both dark, bitter and semi-sweet. Moderately strong bitterness with light vanilla and coconut. A bit more cardamom notes than in the aroma with a spicy, peppery note. Light alcohol spice and a bit more vanilla as it warms. Light dark fruit notes including raisin, fig and prune. Mouthfeel is medium full to full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low, but present alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent stout. I wish it had more coconut and vanilla and less cardamom, but the chocolate notes are complex and fairly dominate.

Bottle, 0.33l. Black pour, one finger frothy brown head. Medium retention, thick lacing on the glass. Strong coffee and cocoa on the nose, very nice. Liquid cake, that's what it feels like. Medium body, medium carbonation. Thick and creamy on the tongue. Malty sweet taste combined with alcohol bitterness, nicely warming. Huge aroma, definitely a liquid cake thing going on here. Cocoa, coffee, vanilla. Bready. Strong coconut presence, nice. Caramel and toffee. Liquor. Coconut aftertaste dominating throughout the finish. Besides that, finish itself is warming, boozy, dry and mildly bitter. Overall, great beer. Rich in both taste and aroma, this one is damn tasty. Delicious.

Shared bottle. Pours almost black with a dark tan head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, minty notes (from cardamom?), coconut, vanilla. Good, but more mint flavor than I'd prefer.
