Draught at the brewery, 7/3/16.
Dark auburn-amber body is minimally hazy and shows a small, off-white head with low retention.
Tons of nectarine, peach, sour pineapple, strong grapefruit and lots of resin and alcohol....Really a pity, it’s just their ozone and kablam taken up another notch exacerbating the overboiled hops creating even more resin. Alcohol is still present, with more specialty malt iced tea-like character, biscuit and grain.
Scratchy and somewhat sugary at times, but not softly-malted with a huge sour pineapple, burning pine resin and alcoholic finish. Reminds me a lot of Long Trail’s space juice. Has some of the right components but just needs much less hops bitterness, less specialty malt apparency and more base malt softness.
