27/6/2018. Draught at the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, Las Vegas. Pours hazy amber with a small just off-white head. Aroma of pine, malt, tropical fruit, citrus and caramel. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium plus body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Not best in class but just about the best of the flight of 6.

Draught at the Buffalo location, 5/6/16 as "Imperial IPA" at 8.4% abv. Close enough.
Clear, copper-golden with a firm white head atop.
Tropical fruits give off a bright, playful, fairly strong aroma at first but are quickly joined by pine and grapefruit. Cherry-like notes emerge as the base sugars mix with the hops and there’s a bit of pepper and resin on the end.
Sweet, maybe a touch too much so, with caramel and honey primarily balancing the peach-pine-grapefruit. As it warms and breathes the juicier, tropical notes seem to fully fade and it’s a bit on the piney-resinous side. But the Buffalo location beers are exceptionally clean, which is nice and the texture and carbonation are both on-point, so there is that.
