I let the bartender pick a beer for me since she was really friendly and wanted me to try something crazy.....Crazy indeed. Not a lot of detail needed here. It’s not fresh ginger, or at least it can’t be all fresh ginger, because it’s just so intense. Gotta be a good deal of powder. Actually even more problematic than that, the beer is very, very sweet, nearly syrupy. And I also LOVE ginger, so I usually like these novelties. Dark black body with a tan head showing low retention and a vegetal, spice and almost soy-like aroma. Treacle, tar, intense ginger and sweet brown sugar in the flavor. Whew. No thanks.
