Draught at Bukowski’s Inman, 3/4/16.
Mostly clear straw-golden body shows a small white head with low retention.
Herbs, floral notes, light orange rind and hints of pineapple are somewhat bothered by a strong, honey and bread-like maltiness. Pepper and more herbs with warming, with vanilla, light caramel and lots of fruitiness. No alcohol or flaws.
In the mouth, it’s very undercarbonated, with a very loose, watery texture yet very soft due to the excessive malt. Seemingly underfermented a bit, but maybe that’s just the low carbonation concentrating the malt. Nectarine, peach, apple and orange drowned in honey and light caramel. Vanilla and bread dough with a light, peppery bitterness on the finish.
