Full of fruit character but not from fruit or hops. Much like the dealers of its card game namesake, Three Card Monte deceives the senses. Tart, citrus and tropical fruit notes come from the hibiscus and rose hips, with rose petals contributing to a floral nose.

750mL bottled 3/22/16, drunk 8/23/16.
Marigold-tinged, honey-brass-golden body shows good clarity and a huge, well-retained, off-white head.
The nose smells rather "heavy", that is to say, adjunct-laden and full of rather strong fruity esters including peach and bubble gum. The hibiscus gives a nutty, earthy note with gentle acidity, while there’s a strong malt showing adding light grain, bread and more honey. No alcohol or flaw, but just too much earth, bread no where near enough lighter, brighter notes.
Same, big hibiscus-heavy flavor, with strong, tight, expansive carbonation and modest attenuation, but lots of breadiness, and herbal tartness that quickly begins to fatigue the palate. Honey, caramel, bread, white pepper and more earthiness linger, with nothing to refresh or clear the palate. Needs higher attenuation and much less rose hip and hibiscus. Also they need to learn how to spell rose petal (the label has rose pedals twice).

750 ml bottle purchased at Redstone, Andover location. Bottled 3/22/2016. Hazy in color Amber with lasting white head. Aroma is not overdone, hibiscus is low with hints of mild malt and rose petals.

The flavor is just as soon bale as the aroma. It is forward in flower character but again subtle. In the center of the flavor profile I get notes of white grape and mild sweetness. The finish shows a dry hibiscus aftertaste. I actually really enjoyed this.
