Bottle from Just In Beer, Groningen. Aroma is tart citrus with lemon, mandarin, pale malt, a hint of roast from the coffee but that's about it. Flavour is sourish and mildly bitter. Body is medium. Not very harmonious, to say the least.

Coffee and passionfruit IPA by this locally successful Dutch craft brewery, a continuation of De Drie Koningen in Groede. Bottle from De Caigny (covered in a nice plastified print as usual), shared with tderoeck and Craftmember. Strong and violent gusher! Medium thick, mousy, eggshell-white head quickly dissipating in the middle, cloudy apricot blonde robe. Aroma of moldy old oranges, mandarin, bread crust, cucumber, potato juice, raw pineapple, unripe melon, indeed passionfruit and an unmistakable ‘raw green cabbage’-like vegetable smell from the Ethiopian coffee that was added. Fruity-estery onset, pineapple, mandarin, touch lychee and passionfruit, sharp and numbing carb, minerally, soft bready malt body with residual sweetness on top but leading to a drying, somewhat wry ending with citrus peel, subtle passionfruit and floral notes, but only softly hop bitter (at 35 IBU) and more wry from that sulfuric-vegetable effect established, no doubt, by the coffee. It’s not the first time I encounter a blonde beer with coffee beans added – and so far, most of them suffered from this unpleasantly raw, sulfuric and stinky vegetable effect. I remain unconvinced that coffee belongs in IPAs.

9/XII/18 - 33cl bottle @ home, BB: 2/IV/14 - (2018-1976) Thanks to Vincent for sharing the bottle!
Pretty clear blond to orange beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet ripe fruits, cooked vegetables, bit malty, dirty, soapy, floral. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sourish, unpleasant acidity, green coffee, some citrus, bit sweetish, floral. Aftertaste: bit acidic, lemon peel, very bitter, malty.

Hazy blond with thin soapy head. Aroma and flavour certainly have a fruity note as promised but it's slightly sour. Definitely no coffee. Feels like a bad brew. Over carbonated and sharp.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ King William, Leersum. Hazy golden with a big white head and some sediment. Really strange sweet aroma, at first I thought of strawberries but it turns out it's passionfruit. Taste is sweet as well and really but inexplicably unappetizing. Supposed to contain Ethiopian as well but I smelled nor tasted any trace of it. Really weird of-putting brew.

Sampled @ Arendsnest. Unclear light orange color, average sized white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, sourish, sour milk or so I don't know but I don't really like it.
