Bottle (2023) from Lighthouse Wine & Spirits. Opaque, motor oil black with nice viscosity, ring of head, no lacing. Aroma is strong forward bourbon, marshmallow/lactose/vanilla, cacao nibs, nuts. Taste is strong bourbon, sweet marshmallow/lactose, cacao nibs, late nuts. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, alcohol well hidden, sweet finish as taste. While the bourbon is strong here, perhaps 2 years cut it too much where it couldn't offset the sweetness. I love me a dessert stout but this is super sweet and likely only tolerated in small doses.

Definitely reminds me of the ice cream. Nutty, chocolate, marshmallow, a little bourbon burn.

On tap at The Wandering Void, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma reveals the marshmallows and lactose upfront, followed by almond extract and chocolate ice cream. Flavour is more integrated, cohesive and decadent, with intense chocolate, marshmallows, lactose, some bourbon, and a touch of toasted almonds. Very cohesive, rich, and decadent without being too brutal, at least in small amounts. Very tasty.

500 ml. Aroma is vanilla, nuts, bourbon. The flavor is similar to rocky road ice cream with 2 shots of bourbon on top. Bourbon helps cut the sweetness. ABV is not obvious. Really good.

2022 bottle shared by Airforcehops on 11/11/22, thanks! Inky, ebony, undetermined clarity. No head. Nutty, bourbony, earthy with mineral and nut skin and no notes of the lactose. Not too sugary, not boozey. Soft, sweet, succulent, not very nutty, though with some nut butter lingering on the end with toasted marshmallow. Really pushin' it on the sweetness here, BL.... Phew, I wish there was less marshmallow and more cacao nib, bitter roast and nuts. Still, the body is thick, but attenuated and not sugary. But yeah, that marshmallow eventually takes over and dominates.
