Can at CBC Islington, thanks to Dave. It pours crazy cloudy golden - amber with a small beige head. The aroma is soft, fresh, musty, skunky, dankness, bready, oily, biscuit and melon. The taste is soft, oily, earthy, toasty grain, creamy ripe fruits, bready, wood, pithy citrus, bit of spice and some some green hops. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not sure i the increased malt character improves CW hop juice. Decent enough, but not their best IPA.

Can from Otters Tears, consumed at home Thursday 14th December 2017 Murky orange light amber appearance with a good sized foamy white head. Clean aroma, with fresh NZ hops giving some grapefruit and melon notes. In the mouth grapefruit shows again but the melon less so, there is a little streaky bitter sweet orange though, a decent malty base underpins this, it's juicy, it's a nice beer. Can from Cork & Cask. Murky amber body with a medium off-white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of brown bread and overripe melon. Flavour of cucumber, kiwi fruit and a hint of fresh ginger. Medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Light fizz. Despite its name and complex malt bill, I found this beer to be all about the bright New Zealand hops.

(440ml can from Hop Burns and Black, canned Nov 6) ~4wo @ drinking. Pours a hazy deep amber with a big cream-coloured head that fades slowly with lots of lace. Aroma is pretty sweet, notes of stewed pear, melon, tangerine, candied orange, caramel, a bit of bread, dank piney notes and spices. Flavour is marked by a clear malt backbone with notes of bread, soft caramel and some torrified toasty quality. Hop quality is soft citrus, melon, vague overripe notes, pine, leafy and a bit earthy, rather soft overall. As it warms, builds a reasonably dank and overripe finish, moderate plus bitterness, with more bready German specialty malt feel. Medium bodied, fairly soft tingling carbonation. This just feels a little retiring to me, certainly malty for a contemporary IPA but also not as heftily hopped as I would like. Decent.
