Brewery draught, 1/30/23. Clear, bright ruby-tinted amber with a small, light beige head showing moderate retention. Hop-forward in the nose, which is, honestly, the only way I've found this style to be passable. Otherwise it's just like drinking a glass of caramel and toast. Here there's good herbal and citrus notes from the hops with light toast, vanilla and only minimal toffee/caramel. Clean, no alcohol noted. Soft, malty, well-attenuated, hoppy and with great bitterness and just a pinch of citrus juiciness. Floral/herbal suggestions and a nip of sweet toffee-vanilla lingering.
