Beach Bum is made for drinking in the sun – or if that’s not possible, then reminiscing about drinking in the sun. Inspired by travelling up the coast of California and lazy days hanging around Venice Beach in LA enjoying fruity pale ales at the Venice Ale House, we created this beer to bring sunshine to any glass, anytime, anywhere.
Beach Bum is a West Coast Pale Ale that uses a blend of citrus forward hops to create flavours tangerine, grapefruit and orange. We rotate the variety of hops from batch-to-batch depending on freshness and availability. The four different types of grain give the beer a medium bodied mouth feel which, when combined with the hops, produces a well-rounded fruity pale ale.

Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Dirty gold. Thin, sticky, lasting, white head. Nose has buttery malts. Earthy hop. Some lime. Some baked orange. Taste is earthy, resinous bitter. Hint of sweetness on the lips. Clean and drying mouthfeel. Fine but crisp carbonation. Resinous bitter finish. There’s obviously a good beer in here somewhere, but this isn’t in great nick really. Shame.
