Post Pigs Ear Party at Chez Smith. Thanks to our host. Light haze on this gold amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Dry malts, semi sweet, some grain. Decent piney hops. Dry ripe orange. Mild orange peel and marmalade. Light dry hop spice. A bit dry and grainy but not hating this.

Bottle at The Bodney Bordello, thanks to LKS. It pours hazy orange – amber with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, oily, brioche, candy, tangerine, peach. Gummy bears and marmalade. The taste is slick, sweet, sugary, oily, resinous, chewy malt, touch of spice, pine, pithy, zesty citrus, some gummy bears and alcohol warmth through the finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Mouth – feel is a bit chewy. Not too bad for what it is.

Bottle split at Leighton's gaff, with thanks to our host, 05/12/17. Hazed light golden amber with a decent beige cap. Nose is bitter orange, caramel, citric tinged straw, sweet exhaust, grains, light breads. Taste comprises bitter orange, toasted grains, mineral bite, bready, caramel, sticky Tropicana. Medium + body, fine carbonation, sweet close with a modest hop load. A mediocre old skool stab at this style.

Bottle shared in Hackney - picked up at the Brewers' Market. Pours hazy orange-gold with a creamy, white head. Bready pale malts in the nose, ripening citrus in the snout. Medium sweet flavour, some orange rind, a little pine, white bread crust. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Rindy finish, lightly warming, more bread crust, jammy citrus. So so.
