We used both cherry and oak smoked pils malt for this very subtly smoked Vienna style lager. Don't expect smoked bacon straight from the beginning, more of a flavor and a retronasal sensation that make this beer not an everyday lager.

Bottle gifted by Marko, shared with Cuso. Assertive oxidation in this one, which probably would not even be such a big deal as it is if there was some other assertive character present. There is not though. Med-light caramelly maltiness and also med-light overall smoke level, which is further split between oak and cherry. Truly not reminiscent of good old beech. Overall still kinda drinkable, but in a macro way. Meh.

Shared bottle with Gurthnar, kindly donated by Marko. Golden colormwith white head. Aroma of malt, light diacetyl, oxidation, no smoke detected. Taste is oxidized malt, very light smoke, no hops.

Bottle courtesy of Marko and consumed at home in the company of Jonas, Ursula and Marko Friday 7th February 2025 listening to ByteFM, we had Beef Stifado and a Greek Salad for tea tonight. Pours a different colour than expected, thought it would be more amber but it's more gold'ish' . Smoke on the nose but it's nice. Smoke in the mouth, light tasting not sure that I could necessarily pick up the particular woods used but it's nice, refreshing and v.decent.

Bottle. Smoke, but as in burned rubber, combined with veggies DMS. Taste is front heavy, oily, creamy, with a sweetness to it.

Bottle. Light hazy grey golden, offwhite cream. Smoked hay, light fruity malt, herbal bitterness. medium light dry body. Light smoke, pleasant grains, metallic smoke and herb finish. Quick grainy aftertaste.

0.5l can, huge thanks Dime! Golden body, vaguely amberish maybe, off-white head. Grainy, smokey, smooth aroma, light bean touches. Same taste, grainy maltiness, simple, with light beany maltiness. Not my favorite type of smoke but it's fine overall! 3.3 (6.6). 23.12.2024
Update, on tap at the brewpub. Less beany, not at all in fact, but there's some corny DMS-like notes. Smooth, soft, pleasant malty taste with understated smoke underneath just rounding it up. By all means more pleasant than from the bottle. Upped the taste rating.

Bottled 500ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, shared with Hrabren. Unclear golden/amberish coloured, medium sized off-white head, light nutty nose. Bready, caramel, nutty and light smoke with herbal touch in the finish. Lack of body.

0.5 l bottle shared with Ogi at Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Clear golden to amber, small to medium creamy off-white head. Toasty, lightly nutty, grassy hints. Bready, sweet, toasty and nutty. Hints of smoke. Soft texture, soft carbonation, light bitterness, dry finish.
