QUADRUPLE BARREL
IMPERIAL STOUT & BARLEY WINE BLEND
Together with the team at Lervig we selected two barrels from each brewery for a four way blend! We picked them out with complexity in the finished blend on top of our minds, to create an interesting and diverse flavour journey from start to end. That kind of beer you just want to take that next sip and continue the discovery!
Luxuriously full-bodied and velvety. Long combinations of chocolate, dried fruits and sweet toffee with layers of vanilla, oak and subtle coconut. Detail and depth coming from the four different base beers, where one of them is a barley wine. A slight alcohol warmth lingers at the end, with the sophisticated bourbon notes of the four barrels completing the experience.
Barrels used:
28M Heaven Hill
24M Makers Mark
15M Heaven Hill
12M Agitator
This beer was just something else to create, and we are super honored that the team over at Lervig wanted to work with us on this project and do something that we have never released before!

Bottle thanks to my bro. It pours oily darkest brown to black with a dissipating deep brown head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, earthy, woody, resinous, umami, touch of marmite, liquorice, molasses, dried fruits, nutty, toffee, bourbon soaked oak, jammy and blackcurrant jam. The taste is firmly dry, dark roast, bitter - sweet, sweet - sour, oily, sappy, resinous, vinous, plenty of dark and dried fruits, blackcurrant, plum wine, prune, date, fig, jammy, burnt toast, juicy, warming booze, layers of bourbon, whiskey fudge, vanilla, liquorice allsorts, warming booze and burnt toast with a warming, chewy finale. Fullsome body, fine carbonation and actually quite soft mouth feel..was expecting something more sweet and sugary, but thankfully ended up with something more complex. Interesting and quite unique m

330ml bottle. Pitch black, thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate, dried fruits, raisins, caramel, bourbon. Taste is very rich and complex, chocolate malts, caramel, huge hit of bourbon with oaky and vanilla notes from the barrels, dried fruits, raisins, sultanas, dates, lovely boozy warmth, pretty sweet but there is some bitterness in the finish. Full bodied, luxuriously smooth. Absolutely beautifully complex beer.
