Cask at Briar Rose, Birmingham. Clear light amber. Its malty with notes of biscuit, light fruitiness and a herbal moderate bitterness. It certainly is rounded and smooth but not that exciting.

Cask @ The Waterhouse, Manchester. Slightly deeper amber coloured with a creamy head. Hoppy-sweet taste finishing with a bitterness.

Cask at Wheatsheaf, Stoke on Trent. Pours a slightly hazy golden copper with a small off-white head. There’s malts and autumn fruits in the aroma. In the mouth it is juicy and somewhere between sweet and bitter though a little watery. Flavour has malts, apples and some traditional hops. Later there are hints of nuts and strawberries leading to a slightly fruity finish. It’s reasonable.

Third of a cask pint in my local Wetherspoons on 14th October 2024. Liked the colour of this, bright amber body, beige topping. Malty and semi-sweet with a bittering finish, nice easy drinking Bitter.

On cask at the SO. Appearance - copper and clear. From the gantry so flatter than the others. Nose - toffee and apple. Bready. Taste - like treacle sponge and still some apple. Palate - light to medium bodied, tangy sweet and sour middle and finish. Overall - good despite the slightly flat pour.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] An amber pour with a tight off-white head; aroma of barley; quite oily in the mouth with a barley sugar taste and a herbal bitterness with a trace of fresh mint; then a dry grainy finish.
