Bottled. POured a heavy brownish black. Some old wood and peat. Lots of malt and toffee and seriously fruity iwth licorice and figs and plums.

Bottle 12fl.oz. @ The Shnoodlepip, London. [ As Port City COLOSSAL Five ].ABV: 9.8%. Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, dried fruit, raisin, dates, light bread - cookie, light sweet bread - cookie. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration sweet malt, caramel, dried fruit, cake, raisin. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160810] 8-3-7-3-15

On tap at GABF. Pours a cloudy brown with small tan head. The aroma is leather, oak, dark fruit, spice. Medium body, raisin, fig, caramel, boozy finish, very good.

Bottle shared in High Wycombe, Cloin's House warming. 05/11/2016. With thanmks to Kenny. A nut brown coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is mixed nutty malts, toffee, and touched of maple syrup. Flavour is composed of jammy fruits, brown sugars, dried fruits, liquorice, . Palate is sticky, sweet, moderate carbonation.

Tap. Pours cloudy hazel, small tan head, decent retention and lacing. Aroma is a touch smoky, malty, toffee, brown sugar, rye bread, raisins. Flavors is medium sweet, medium bitter, rich, malty with a bite. Rye notes and roasty, bordering on smoke. Caramelized sugar. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Lingering bitterness. Solid. Huh. A 3.7

High Wycombe House Warming. Hazy amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, good fine carbonation. Malts are mildly sweet and creamy. Little dark chocolate and a touch of caramel. Ripe fruits and spicy fruits. Light semi dry spicy finish. Alright.

Bottle at The High WyCum tasting, Chez Bois, thanks to Kenny Kenny 05/11/16. Mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is tangy dark fruits, spice, charr, cocoa powder, brown bread. Taste comprises dark fructis, toffee, spice, charr, fruit loaf. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff, lacks depth for ABV but fine for style.

Bottle at Colin’s. It pours deep brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is rich, juicy, fruity, candied peel, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, Eccles cake, banana bread and toasted brown sugar. The taste is rich, toasty, toasted brown sugar, caramel, toffee, brown bread, earth, leather and booze with a dry finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Decent.

Bottle shared @ ChrisO after GBBF Day 2. Nice hazy dark reddish color, average sized beige head. Aroma is malts, dark raisins, sugary overripe dark fruits, toffee, caramel. Taste malts, caramel, overripe dark fruits and raisins again, toffee, some alcohol and leafy bitter. Medium body and medium to full carbonation.
