The perfect blend of spice is found in Optimal Wit. This Belgian style witbier is crisp & citrusy with layers of flavor that evolve in the glass. It is brewed with Virginia wheat, Spanish orange peels & coriander. Grains of Paradise give a subtle, peppery finish. It tastes like Sunshine & Happiness!
11.5° OG, 2°FG.

Pours a bright hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of coriander and citrus. Taste has coriander, nutmeg, wheat base. Palate has a nice spiced finish, cloves, coriander, some lingering citrus. Refreshing.

Blind spot beer for me. Can't believe I hadn't rated it. Pint at the brewery is a lightly hazy, bright yellow with some bright white head.  Nose has flowers, orange peel, clove.  Flavors of malt, honey, chewed bubble gum, banana.  Finishes dry.  True to style.  7 4 7 3 12

33cl bottle from Beer52. Medium white head. Hazy golden pour. Ok but not a beer style that excites me.

Bottle from Beer52. Clear and very pale gold with a white head and an aggressive, prickly fizz. Weetabix, lemon, sweet floral hay and coriander seed with a dry finish. Some banana bread in the aftertaste. True to style, definitely; sadly it's never been a style that I've liked very much.

[12oz bottle from Beer52.] A hazy pale amber pour with a vestigial white head; aroma and yeast and coriander; light and spritzy in the mouth with a subtly citrus taste, blended with tea, and with a trace of banana in the background; then a dry finish with a hint of pepper and orange zest. A nicely put together Witbier.

Tight fluffy white head left a collar & spotty cover on a cloudy pale lemon coloured body. Yeast & clove aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the front with a tickle on the back. Yeast, spices, clove, chalk & banana tastes with a peppery finish. Perfect replica of Hoegaarden!

355ml bottle: BB 27th Feb 2021. Poured into a 'Good People' of Birmingham Alabama glass at home on 3rd May 2020, during the virsu Lock In. Misty dull yellow body, thin and swiftly departing white head. Wheaty, yeasty and spicy, with some fruit peel traces. Mild ginger like hotness also.
