Gower Gold is a thirst quenching golden ale. It has refreshing citrus flavours and the lovely aroma of the cascade hops. Brewed since December 2011, this beer has become an all round firm favourite.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 8 Apr 2026) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus, grass and bread. Fruity, hoppy taste with bread, grass, citrus, peaches and a mild citric/grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Refreshing. Nice one.

500ml bottle from Pontypool Tesco. Drunk in our cottage overlooking the town. Clear gold with a medium white head. Light caramelised malt aroma. Nicely balanced on the palate, fairly light bodied with gentle buttery malt, light wine gum and caramel, though could do with a little more sweetness. Fine overall.
