Originally our 200th brew! It is an amped up version of Sorachi Faceplant with Apollo, Summit and Sorachi Ace hops but is massively bitter. Although it’s a monster of a beer and does as its name suggests, it’s juicy for a triple IPA and deliciously drinkable.

Keg at the Vanbrugh, Greenwich. Cloudy orange pour with a whispy white head. Rich, boozy nasal warming aromas of toffee, sweet citrus, sweet spice, caramel, nuts. Throat warming flavours of sweet citrus, coriander, sweet spice, dried fruit, heavy hop action. Packs a severe punch in the finish. Lovely stuff!

Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Shared with the missus on our 15th Wedding Anniversary. (Jesus!). Hazy, orangey gold. Film, and a bubbly halo of sticky, white head. Missus gets resin. Pine. Honey. At which point she got bored dissecting it. Anyhow, taste is thick, chewy orange sweet. Turns pithy, resinous, chewy bitter. Smooth as you like, lip sticking, full on palate. Finishes long, caramelised, orange pith, oily bitter. Beautifully easy drinking. Lovely.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear light copper pour with a tight bubbly off white head, aroma has fresh orange along with some pine and mango action, taste has sweet smooth caramel, resinous pine, some spice, crazy Sorachi in your face, some citrus, boozy, and pretty decent, crazy sized bottle for the massive ABV, but enjoyed every drop.

At Villagio Della Birra 2015.Hazy amber color, white head. Hoppy, alcohol scent. Alcohol, hoppy taste. Medium mouthfeel, high bitterness. Bitter aftertaste.

Keg at BrewDog Camden - London. Pours clear, deep gold with a white foam head. Big booze in the nose, some pine, rich bread, toffee. Heavy sweet flavor with notes of ripe citrus, bitter pine, tropical fruits. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming and resinous on the finish, with definite alcohol presence, more ripe citrus, pine needles. Fairly drinkable for an 11% hoppy beer, but just not that drinkable in absolute terms. Overall, not bad.

Brewdog Camden. Keg. Hazy amber beer, thin cream colour head. Palate is slightly viscous with decent fine carbonation. Sweetish malts bring sweetish cream and a little caramel. Hops bring a sticky spicy resinous Sorachi Ace lemon and lemon peel. Touches of orange and marmalade. Fair bit of hop spice builds up. Some sticky orange and sticky peel before a smooth hop spicy finish. Rich and rewarding, wonderfully decadent.

Keg at the tap takeover Brewdog Camden. Translucent orange golden coloured pour with lasting loose white head. Aroma is orange rind, plastic hockey ball, varnish, pine needle, little dank. Flavour is sweet chewy caramel malts, orange, pine. Lingering chewy caramel some resinous hop. Hides the abv pretty well and remains pretty smooth. Palate is sweet, chewy, moderate carbonation.
