Charlton draught, 10/22/23. Clear amber. Very well-retained (at light cover), white head. Nose is very Stately-like, with gentle Brett adding to luscious, mineral-rich Sacchs. Don't think much of the pedio/lacto has emerged yet, but there is a more earthy, rustic, acid-laced note apparent. Crusty grains with toasted brown bread, cherries and light vanilla give a very mixed fermentation feel, but the deeper malts and esters from the Sacch do identify it nicely as a BdG or BdM. Clean. Earthy sacch and Brett with spicy phenolics, quite a bit of fresh brown bread and a good depth to the base malt with excellent attenuation. Pedio/lacto just starting to emerge and I think this is a great time to release the beer. They've nailed a point where Sacch, Brett, Pedio, Lacto and malt are all in balance. Lovely.
