Bittle shared at Dave's deal with the devil again tasting. Many thanks. A thick chewy dark brown coloured pour with a reluctant tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, toasted coconut, marshammlow, nuttella, hazelnut, chocolate powder. Adjunct. Flavour is composed of medium sweet tangy, fruits, prickly, hazelnut. Toasted coconut. Chocolate powder. Intense. Palate is medium sweet tangy, rounded, moderate carbonation.

19th June 2026Dealing With The Devil again tasting at CBJ. Thanks to Wingman. Opaque dark brown beer, small and short lived tan head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent carbonation. Smooth and slightly tangy dark malts, decent dark chocolate, hazelnut obvious and fairly obvious. Less obvious is banana, more of a ripe generic fruitiness on the back end along with a modest alcohol spice. Tasty but not blowing my socks off.

22 oz. bottle, pours jet black with almost no head. Aroma is loaded with dry roasted hazelnuts, big bourbon barrels, and a touch of banana. Flavour is remarkably complex and rich, with rich roasted hazelnuts, gentle banana, and wonderful bourbon barrels that bring it all together. I’m always weary of banana in stouts, but this works wonderfully well. Love the hazelnut character, which seems to dry things out a bit. Not too sweet at all. Beauty.

22oz bottle. Pours dark brown. Tons of hazelnut and banana on the nose. Flavour has a lot of dry hazelnut, a pleasant banana component, and a very nice bourbon barrel bringing it all together.

Sample kindly served by Doug. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: loads of hazelnut, sweet, some earthiness, American oak. Taste: along the same lines, very thick, a lot of nuts, moderately to highly sweet. Couldn't really detect banana, but it's probably added to the overall body. Overall: good one.

Creamy lightbrown fair mostly diminishing head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.
