Bottle at the brewery, 7/1/23. Clear dark purple-amber. Small, dark beige head, low retention. Hard to really call this a Dubbel if it's just ambient wood fermented, but whatever. Fruity, tart, light brett, light lactic acidity, moderate Belgian sacch character, light wood and hints of citrusy white wine. Clean. Soft, fruity, on the lighter side, quite dry with a bit of oomph from the white wine. Low acidity but still pleasingly tart. The best of the three barrel series offerings they had today, but that's not saying much.
