Happy November! New beer!!
As the leaves all drop and we vacillate between balmy and freezing temperatures, I have some new beer out in market that reminds me of the beautiful blooms of Spring.
Linda & Lilacs, 4.3%, mixed culture wheat and rye beer with lilacs, yarrow, mugwort, and honey.
This beer was brewed shortly after my mother-in-law passed in August of 2023. This was brewed ‘in memoriam’ of her with herbs, honey and lots of fresh spring lilac blossoms. She was an avid gardener and I think she would have appreciated this beer.

Massive floral nose. Lilac is the dominant note, although the herbaceous notes and earthy rooty spice come through later in the palate. Light funk. Great natural notes, would be great with food

3 Penny draught, 12/19/24. Light honey-brass. Small, white head. Lemony, basil, yarrow, all the herbs with vanilla, biscuit, bread and a zesty mixed culture. Super brightly aromatic. Juicy herb. Like pressed oils and rich wheat with peppermint, lemon, biscuit and heavy mineral. Soft, mellow, flavorful, floral, complex. Just stupid good. Mint lingering.
