Brewed using a traditional decoction mash program to maximize flavor and fermentability. Pours clear and golden. Subtle bitterness gives way to a malt body reminiscent of biscuit and lightly toasted bread. Serve with vigor to develop a dense foam.

Crisp, bready malty and slightly grassy with some grainy notes, earthiness and hints of hay and rustic notes. Crushable and pretty balanced

Can at home in Canaan. Picked up in VT. Pours lightly hazed yellow-gold with a rocky, foamy white head. Light sweet flavour with crispy pale biscuits, a nip of lemon peel, subtle bitter hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Pretty clean to finish, more dry pale biscuits, hay. Drinks mighty fine.

Canned 1/31/24, drunk 7/24/24. Extremely pale, brass-golden. Large, well-retained, white head. Clean, clear, moderately-crisp. Lots of mineral water character with more of a lighter, crackery malt. Good yeast character. Everything is clean. In the mouth, I'm not sure it feels overly German, but yet it has an unmistakeable yeastiness to it. Ok, I take that back, it's German, yet maybe not my favorite yeast. Feels like they took some random, Warsteiner-like yeast and made a beer out of it. Very waxy. Peppery hops mostly add pepper and light bitterness. Body is ample for its size, the beer is clean. Good attenuation. Interesting.
