"The aroma unfolds layers of rich dark malt, cocoa, and coffee, complemented by smoky plums, black cherries, and a hint of licorice. On the palate, it is intense and full-bodied, featuring bittersweet roasted chocolate, crispy rye bread crust, wild blackberries, and blueberries. This powerful barleywine is balanced between the bold berry notes and malty roast flavours."

Shortlived greyish head, soon completely gone over red-tainted black beer. Nutty, fusels, some sweet roast, almonds, benzene. Rosewater, almonds, more roast. Quite sweet main flavour. Again fusely, alcoholsweetness. Sticky, oily feel. Alcoholburn and low carbonation. Certainly not bad, but there is better, in their own portfolio, and on top of that, we had an obviously more refined domestic product before. Txs to Stef!

Can. Near clear deep brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, a treacly rich ripe fruitiness. Undersweet prunes and the like. Smooth savoury finish. Richly flavoured and rewarding now, 3 - 5 years cellaring would not hurt.

On tap at Taphouse CPH, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of dark dried fruits, caramel, and light brown sugar. Flavour has a rich malty depth, with plenty of caramel, toffee, bready malt, and gentle bitterness. Very nice balance, with great malty depth. Excellent.
