Draft sample. Flavor shows huge dark fruits (raisins / fig/ dates), Some sticky caramel, and pine like hops to balance the malt. Alcohol is somewhat hidden. Good for such a young barleywine. This is bold.

On tap at Cask Republic - New Haven, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toffee, English bready malt and some dark dried fruits. Flavour is along the same lines, with dried dark fruits, caramel and toffee. Wonderful designed, with a rather tempered sweetness. This is lovely.

Tap @The Ginger Man, NYC.
Clear deep ruby color, small off-white head. Toffeish-berryish aroma. Medium-bodied. Toffeish and berryish with "bitters". Aftertaste is quite alcoholic.

Lots of candy - almost tastes like a pumpkin beer with the spice aroma going on here. Lots of resin. Pours amber with ok head and lacing. Lots of oak and booze and not super well-balanced. Very sweet finish and thick, syrupy pour. Tap at Ginger Man NYC.
