Bottle bought at Egeskov Julemarked (as batch #20). Pours hazy dark chestnut with medium light orange head. Aroma is malt, caramel, brown sugar, lemon and hints of fresh spruce and milk chocolate. Taste is medium to very sweet, light to medium bitter and light acidic. Body is oily with medium carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes of malt, caramel brown sugar, yeast, alcohol, iron, raisin, figs, spice (cinnamon, nutmeg), lemon and fresh spruce. A bit too rough - might improve if kept until next Christmas (too late though...)

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque nutty brown with a small, roughish beige head. Surprisingly littke aroma, no trace of the hops so it's more nuts and caramel, but even that is subtle. Rich, sweet, malty body, caramel and toffee, some roastiness and then quite some bittering hops at the end. We're talking borderline Imperial Brown here. 141220
