330ml bottle. Clear copper colour with average thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Intense, sweaty, resinous hoppy aroma, slightly nuttily malty basis with hints of peanut and hazelnut pellicle, almond, spruce, pine, coniferes in general. Taste is dry, resinous hoppy, coniferes, intense bitterness, aromatically forlorn malty backbone contributes amply to a full body. A heavy hitter.

Bottle sample @ English evening tasting at Malt Attacks, Brussels. Bouteille 33cl, BB 28/08/2015.

Bottleshare at Leighton’s flat. Thanks to Rocket Rudkin. Very hazy deep gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry with good fine carbonation. Light soft malts, little sweetness. Loadsa hops! Hop spice, pine, bitter orange, more hop spice and a little tropical fruits. Finishes with the seltzer getting slightly chalky. It’s good but doesn’t quite sing.

Bottle shared at the ’Beers of London’ Tasting MkII, Bespin Cloud City - Hyde Park zone, from B-Dog 11/02/15. Murky orange amber with a decent light beige head that retains well. Nose is pine, bitter orange, grapefruit, spice, earthy hop. Taste comprises caramel malt, tangerine, light spice, bitter citrics, mineral tones, grapefruit. Medium + body, slightly resinous, semi drying close. Ok DIPA if no game changer.

Bottle. Tall Boys, Leeds. Murky amber. Thick, glossy topped, lasting, bubbly, grey beige head. Sweet toffee, bready malts. Pineapple cube sweets. Vanilla ice cream. Some peachy hops. Some citrus (mostly ripe oranges). Bit of a medicinal boozy thing going on. Smells great. Taste is more of the sweetness, at first, then turns fairly restrained bitter. Sticky palate. Bit boozy. Quite rich. Finishes chewy sweet, turning orange zest bitter. Big, and a bit daft, and very enjoyable. Nice one.
