Bottle from Rehills of Jesmond. Appearance - deep amber red with a nice lacy head. I was expecting it to be pale. Nose - grapefruit and biscuits. Some caramel. Taste - marmalade. Orange cake. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture. Elegant finish. Overall - has elements of ESB and Black Ipa. I was expecting a pale less interesting beer so this turned out ok.

Cask, half-pint at The Old Bar. A beige, lacing head over a dark amber coloured body. Modest herbal hops and brown malty aroma. Malt-driven taste profile of toffee and dark dough with a backdrop of leafy bitterness to the ending. Easy to drink. Satisfying. (Leeds University Campus 02.07.2017).

Cask at GBBF 2016, Day 1 - London. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Somewhat basic stuff, with pale grain character and limited hop expression. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more pale grains, some straw. Drinks pretty easy, at any rate.

Tried at the Golden Lion, Osmotherly. Pale hazy amber colour with an off white head. Malty chocolate and citrus aroma and taste, that is just a bit too sweet.
