DESCRIPTION

Hinterweltler was a final contribution from star brewer Yovcho before he headed back to Germany, this maibock was done right. Six weeks in the tank for a clean-tasting, brown-golden lager. Aggressively hopped for a more distinct finish than your average bock.

Artwork: Our old head of production, Yovcho brought traditional German brewing and blended it out the UK craft scene.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop Bermondsey and drunk at home. Clear orange amber colour lasting white head. Malty aroma. Nutty flavours. A lager drinkability. A little fizzy maybe. Some lemony hop on the finsh. Not hugely bocky. Bitter finish. Disappeared quickly which is a good sign. Decent .

Flaske 330ml kjøpt på Bread and Roses. Delt med Rune på Copthorne Hotel, Plymouth 25 Sep 16. Varm gyldenbrun. Litt uklar. Lavt luftig pent skum. Aroma av søte bær. Smaken det samme med søt malt i bakgrunnen. Blir tørr etter hvert. Mer uklar siste kvelling. Tynt bunnfall.

330ml take-away bottle from Bread and Roses. Fair beige head, spotty lacing, warm, dark golden body with a slight haze. Smell of pale and brown malts. Flavoured with caramel malts, dark dough and pears. Hints of leafy hops towards the finish. Fine bodied. Pretty nice, without being great (Shared with Finn, hotel room, Plymouth 26.09.2016).
