Bradford Beer Festival 2020. Golden and very strong, which changes its cherry taste, although this is still dominant, but becomes more acidic and sour.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. 9.1%. Clear, medium amber colour. Thin, white head. Nose has pear drop sweets. Cherry Bakewell tart. Cherry lips. Some new leather. Some ground almond. Taste is fairly sweet, to start, with a hard to like, cherry stone, furry bitterness. Medium body. Medium fizz. Harsh bitterness to finish. Smells ok, but overall it’s way too bitter for style.

Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth and sweet malts. Sweet floralness. Mild esters and modest spice. A mild bitterness before the light finish. Cherry runs throughout and interacts nicely with the sweetness and the esters. Some candy cherry and cherry bakewell. Light and bitterish finish, trace of wood. Thoroughly interesting and drinkable tripel.
