Bottle shared at Moeder Lambic - Brussels. Pours lightly hazed amber-gold with a frothy, pure white head. Nice aroma, with moderate funk, a little white wine, subtle citrus fruits. Light sweet flavour with further mild funk about it, some woody dryness, more white wine barrel, mild citric bite. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Moderately dry on the finish, with light alcohol warmth, further white wine character, restrained funk. Wonderful beer.

Amber, hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, yellowish head.
Aroma of citrus, Brett, wood, young cheese, flowers, sweet fruits,
Tastes similar, with some more grass, slight vanilla.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation.
Finishes medium dry, wooden, Bretty, fruity, a bit sweet, with citrus, some stone fruits

Tasty. Very fresh and balanced to drink, the barrel isn't that obvious, but provides some smooth wooden note. Overall it is rounder than the regular version. Great stuff, while not my favourite De la Senne.

Bottle. Nuetnigenough, Brussels. Hazed, pale amber. Decent head of dense, lasting, white foam. Nose has soft brett. Twangy vine fruits. Red wine dregs. Some chewy toffee. A little floral herb. Taste is lightly tart, vinous, and estery sweet. A little dryness. Some woody, oaky bitterness. Medium body. Massaging carbonation. Twang of brett and wine barrel to finish. Nicely rounded, with way more to come when the brett kicks in fully. Going to try and find a couple of these to stick in the cellar.

New 'luxury' edition of Senne's Bruxellensis, their saison (re)fermented with lambic yeast, but aged on wine barrels. From a 75 cl bottle at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Snow white, moussy, very stable an firm, tightly cobweb-lacing head over a misty peach blonde beer with slightly ochre-ish hue. Aroma of old wet hay, white grapes or indeed white wine, white bread, fermenting pineapple, banana mush, camomile, sourdough, spoiled peaches, dry lemon peel, old and fermenting red apples, bitter herbs, some light wood. Very fruity-estery onset, lively notes of yellow plum, ripe pear and pineapple, medium sweet with sourish undertone but generally dryish; spritzy carbo, almost cava-like, full cereally and white bready malt body with slight wheaty soapiness to it while fruity esters, spicy phenols and a dried citrus peel accent dance on top. Finishes dry, juicy, quenching and complex, with mild onsetting Brett funkiness, an earthy and bready, fruity yeastiness, dry herbal hop bitterness that lingers long and eventually dried wormwood-like, soft woody tannins and a very well-integrated aftertaste of white wine. Great and ambitious Senne creation that just begs to be cellared - there is no doubt that this will get drier, funkier and more expressive after some extended aging. A must for Senne lovers.

Bottle at Beerlovers Bar. Pours rather clear blonde, good white head. Smell is intense, brett ( less intense brett-forward than the regular ) some wood. Mild wine. Taste is full, intense brett , touch of funky acidity, oak. very, very mild red wine. Lovely !!

Big thanks for this one! 750 ml. bottle split by 4. Bottled 06.04.2017. First 750 ml. De La Senne bottle to my knowledge since their very early blending experiments. Aged on Nuits-Saint-Georges Wine Barrels. Darker orange with an off-white to tanned head. Nose is De La Senne brett but less weird far more round balanced, round funk, massive orange, peel, fruit is massive nearly tropical, low soap, other malts, fruit is massive, brett has improved so much, no barrel. Lightly sparkling body, low soap, brett, low amount of the wine barrel. Taste is sparkling low soapy that De La Senne brett but so much rounder, fruit is massive, orange hugely fruit, almost tropical, brett has improved so much and in the back you finally get Nuits-Saint-Georges Wine Barrel, milky bright almost funk thick wine, finish is glorious. Brett has improved so much, that fruit, wine finish, amazing as I had hopped, wine could have been thicker for but oh my this is lovely. More please, De La Senne killing it as usual. Felt richer than 6.5 % ANV.
