Our new creation is based on the Dubbel style that has a long history in Belgium but is hardly known on the Bulgarian market. Dubbel dates back to the Middle Ages and has continued to be popular owing to the knowhow and diligence of the Belgian monks who inherited the ancient recipes and technologies. We carry over all this accumulated knowledge to the 21st century with our version that relies on original Belgian malt and Trappist yeast.

The Glarus Dubbel ale keeps close to the outlines of its style. Namely, you will sense the typical notes of caramel, chocolate and dried fruits (in particular prunes and vine fruits) as well as the Belgian yeast’s singular aroma.

Ingredients: water, 4 types of malt, 2 types of hops, dark Belgian candi sugar, Belgian brewer’s yeast
Color: golden brown
Aroma: harmonious combination of caramel, chocolate and dried fruits
Mouthfeel: corresponding to the aroma, mild alcohol, medium-dry finish
Body: high body; medium-high carbonation
