Bottle. Cotteridge. Dark, cola brown. Thin, dense, glossy, lacing, lasting, beige head. Nose has blackcurrant. Wood ash. Minty herb. Hint of liquorice. Some sticking plaster. Taste is smoky sweet, with a light, fruit, herbal bitterness. Light body. Fine carbonation. Dries out somewhat on the palate. Dry and bitter finish.

11/08/2018 - 33cl bottle shared by tderoeck and his wife @their place. Black colour, creamy beige head. Nose is roasted malts, bit chocolate, fruity hops. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, toffee, fruity hops. Could go for a Black IPA either, it's realy in the middle of the 2 for me. Very well balanced and very tasty sure for this ABV. Whereas a lot of stouts at this ABV feel wattery, this one felt even a bit creamy. Great beer!
