Big Session IPA. Champion is our fresh, gold-standard 'big session' IPA. Punching in at 4.9% and built for more fruit, more zest, more poise and the greatest pound-for-pound glug-ability in the middleweight ABV bracket. Heavily dry hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo and Cascade, Champion is a pure pale thoroughbred with super-balanced bitterness and bags of citrus and pine character. Go glug a winner.

7/6/2023. Cask at The Waterworks Micropub, Rye. Pours clear dark golden with a small frothy just off-white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, flowers, tangerine, stone fruits. Quite sweet initially, better as the bitterness develops. Moderate body, oily, soft carbonation. Quite bitter to finish. Improved on first impressions with a big bitter swing.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a golden amber with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma has nuts and berry fruits. In the mouth it is sweet malts which come to the fore first, plus grains and some hints of tangerine. Later citrus and some floral hops become apparent. Finally comes traditional hoppy bitterness which is quite pronounced in the finish. This is a decent beer – I would suggest more like a traditional bitter though.
