Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep amber with a red hue and a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a strong resin note with pine, a hint of onion and a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has lots of sweet grains with growing resinous pine and a hint of onion.

Cliche, but this was fantastic when it came out and is a shadow of its old self now. Rated from tap at Troll Fest. Lemony, oily, pine sol hop tones. Thick caramel balance. Not anything I want in the style. Antiquated, not good.

A reddish amber I2PA with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with good citrusy hops, floral and resinous with citrus pulp, nice. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with floral and resinous hops, well balanced, grassy notes, Cointreau, warming alcohol, nice. Tasted with GRM March 1 2013.

Draft at Ale Asylum. I’m really diggin this beer. Loads of caramel malt for a stiff backbone and a whole bunch of citrus, grapefruit and orange zest for the hops. Brought a growler home. Awesome.

Purchased at Breeze Thru Wine & Spirits in Milwaukee, WI; enjoyed on a Tuesday night prior to leaving this frozen city for warmer weather in California. Appearance is a red/orange amber with a thin white head that rims around the glass and tiny floating yeasties...the color is very vibrant. Aroma is filled with hops, mostly citrus with a slight grassy, and caramel malt, slight bit of grapefruit, nice smell. Taste bursts with flavor, it’s very bitter, but not too bitter, it retains its enjoyability factor. Hops are the dominating aspect with again mostly citrus, and it does provide a bit of sweetness. Ale Asylum comes through with another really good, solid brew.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of cbfobes. Thanks! Pours a hazy reddish amber color with a thin tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big floral hops, berries, citrus and pale malts. The taste is toffee, berries, resin and citrus hops. Medium bodied. Nice.

Bottle at Bodega in La Crosse. This beer is a clear amber color with a thick off-white head that burns away slowly. Patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops and malt. Medium body with a resiny hops character that has floral and earthy notes, plus some malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness left behind. Above average overall.
