Collab with GRUB MCR - they suggested a chocolatey smoky festive bastard of a beer, and here we are.

Bottle from Beer District, Buxton, consumed at home Sunday 18th February 2018 whilst cooking a Thomasina Miers Chilli con Carne. Pours dark brown with a sticky off white head. Smoky but not too much smoke, soft, sweet dark malts, a touch of liquorice, some chocolate and a little black treacle, the smokiness comes back. It is a grubby bastard though. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask @ The Brink, Manchester. Black with a small off-white creamy head. It has dryish roasted malts, but quite bland ones. Its strength is evident with some malts in its nose.
