Golden Citra Hopped IPA.

Knee Buckler is a wonderfully golden IPA style beer. At 5.2% there is good strength and lots of initial hop bitterness which is matched with a little hint of sweetness from the use of Crystal and Caramalts, The aftertaste and aroma comes from a blend of American hops, Citra, Cascade and Columbus which gives a distinct fruity finish.

(Cask) Clear golden with good white head. Subtle caramel and citrus aroma. Medium body with plenty of smooth carbonation. Great taste with a little fruity tartness at the start, rapidly replaced with caramel malt and then joined by a nice bitterness for the finish. Very nice.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol 13/5/2022. Amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Hedgerow hop character, some red berries and tangerines, slightly earthy malts with a touch of caramel flavour leading to a dryish finish. Fine.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Nose is vague hints of citrus and grass. In the mouth the texture is quite watery, but is made up for by the range of flavours. Floral hops, lemon, and tangerine – quite a lot of berry fruits too. Finish is bitter with grapefruit traces. This has good a good bite to it – nice.
