Can and the last of my BeyondBeer advent calendar selections. Had this exactly two weeks later than it should have been consumed, Friday 7th January 2022 in Frank on a snowy München night Akadamiestrasse. Pours black with a fast disappearing head.. Loz gets copper coins and Guinness, interesting as she has no idea where it's from. Light chocolate touches, a little hoppiness. This is a decent Impy Stout but not really standing out in any way shape or form. Good.

Draught @ Nordic Aroma has cocoa and licorice, feels like good old Slottskällans IS! Flavour has cocoa, salty licorice and rye bread. Too salty for my taste but not bad still.

Growler. Black with a thin tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate malt. Flavour is dark fruit, dry bitter berry, chocolate malt, long bitter chocolate fruit finish.

150ml draught at Agenturet Øl og Vinbar. Jet black body, lacing rings down the glass from a filmy layer. Promising smell of black chocolate and coffee. Prominent coffee-chocolate flavours, mid-sweet, followed by roasted bitterness to a long lived ending, integrated alcohol. Fine depth. Pleasing sipper. (Tromsø 01.12.2020).

(Keg at Pien Brewpub, 20200828) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate and lightly liquorice. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, ash, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, liquorice and bitterness. A pleasant burnt brew with the notes of liquorice.

Draught @ Mig & Ølsnedkeren. Pours black with a small brown head, lacings. aroma of roasted malt, caramel, toasted ryebread, light smoke, little coffee. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, roasted malt, caramel, coffee, rye, mild smoke, light alcohol. Medium to full body, soft to average carbonation, sweet light bitter finish.
